The North East is renowned for its gourmet produce, excellent wines and spectacular settings.. And what a day it was for the 2015 Regional Longest Lunch at Wallace’s Hut combining all three in a memorable culinary experience.
Beautiful weather, magnificent backdrop and wonderful company along with an amazing line up of food and wine. “Barry Iddles and his team did a great job – thank you! How lucky were we to have a fully catered ‘picnic ‘at one of the oldest huts on the high plains.” says Deb Howie of Snow Donuts
Catered by renowned Falls Creek restauranteur Barry Iddles (Elk at Falls and Sorrento Catering), the event incorporates a delectable three course set menu, drinks and canapés. All of this takes inspiration from quality gourmet producers and growers in the region.
The location for this tremendous event will be the grassy grounds of Wallace’s Hut. Sip champagne and dine in style alongside one of the oldest structures in the Alpine National Park in one of the most unique settings for a long lunch.
